Hospital

Has been a bit of a rubbish weekend.

Mum had to be taken into A&E Friday: her GP was concerned by the test results she had on Wednesday. Apparently the hospital shouldn't have let her go home in the first place.

Mum's blood count was at an all-time low and she had picked up an infection, along with some unpleasant side effects. Also an examination Sunday afternoon has reveiled an enlarged Spleen.

So she spent the weekend mostly wired up to a drip and starring at four boring walls. No doubt more tests, prodding and poking and boredom is in store for her these next few days. At least she is now in the right place to receive the best possible care and now has a bit more colour in her cheeks.

Oh and it's dad's birthday today. I guess it will be cards and pressies down on the ward tonight.
