Relative
Apparently it's going to be (relatively) hot today. I appreciate some don't like the heat and struggle to cope but personally I enjoy it and feel British winter can be quite cold and long. Why knock the good weather when it's here?

Rule Britannia!
Just arrived is my latest shiny: the 2018 one ounce fine silver proof Britannia. It's legal tender, dontchaknow, with a face value of £2 (US$ 2.60, AU$ 3.50) although its true worth is somewhat diferent LOL. This is number 4882 of a limited worldwide mintage of just 7150 and weighs in at a little over 31g. Feast your eyes...

Stunning To The West
My journey home this evening had to be interrupted by a stop at Pincents Manor to capture this awesome sunset. Enjoy.

Proud Moment
My son's school have offered him the opportunity to study all three sciences to GCSE. The little boffin LOL. Will pile on the pressure but shows they have faith in his abilities. Am a very proud father.

To Be Continued
Our terribly British heatwave continues with temperatures remaining in the upper 20's. Most UK houses are designed to retain the heat; certainly they don't benefit from air conditioning and mine in particular cooks up nicely while shut up during the day. Whose idea was that conservatory build anyway LOL?
Not quite sure what I can do to keep it cool that won't cost the Earth. Answers on a postcard to the usual competition address, as they used to say LOL.

70 Today
The best medical provider in the world, the UK's National Health Service has celebrated 70 years. Publicly funded, care is provided free of charge at the point of delivery regardless of who you are, rich or poor. The people who work in our NHS across the nation are true saints who often receive little recognition.
