Episode Three

Am I the only one that thinks the revamped new series (23, fact fans) of Top Gear is actually quite good?

Matt LeBlanc was an inspired hire as co-host; knowledgeable, witty and a natural presenter. As for fellow anchor Chris Evans he isn't as annoying as I expected, although he does need to remind himself he is not presenting his morning radio show and should dial back the shouty enthusiasm LOL.

New kid on the block Rory Reid is intelligent yet youthful. He has managed to perfect an easy laid back style all of his own, with a winning smile, and convey just the right about of technical detail.

Then we have Sabine Schmitz, she is like a breath of fresh air and really should get more screen time driving and reviewing performance cars on the series. Perhaps if ever the returning Stig ever feels like hanging up his/her/its racing gloves and helmet, we wouldn't need look further than Sabine to step up.

Top Gear was around well before Clarkson, May and Hammond and has evolved over the years. On the current evidence I feel that evolution continues and it may not be too long before some will be asking "Jeremy who..?"
