Right Said Fred
Beloved actor and singer Bernard Cribbins has died today aged 93.
Perhaps best known for his novelty songs, as well as being the voice of The Wombles, as well as staring in The Railway Children, he would find fame twice in Doctor Who. In 1966 Cribbins was co-star in the 1966 Dr Who movie, playing Tom Campbell, with Peter Cushing as the lead. He returned to franchise as reoccurring character Wilfred Mott opposite David Tennant, Kylie Minogue and Catherine Tate in the relaunched series. It is understood he has reprised this role during recent filming for next year's 60th anniversary.
A great man who will be missed.

Canned Heat
In case anyone didn't realise it got a bit warm here yesterday, I made an interesting discovery today. It seems this pack of cans didn't want to be drinks cans anymore LOL.

Scorchio!
I was reminded that this day last year had been predicted to be the UK's honest on record with temperatures in the upper 30's. Today we have exceeded that, with media outlets such as the once trusted BBC warning of (in effect) fire and brimstone and giving dire warnings of the end of civilised life. How on Earth do countries renowned for being hot ever cope? Oh yes with a healthy dose of common sense!
Anyway not to fear: tomorrow is set to be between 10 and 15 degrees cooler.

Feelin' Hot Hot Hot
Other than to say 39 degrees Celsius is approximately 102 degrees Fahrenheit, I'll just leave this here...

More Jabs
According to an article in the Guardian, all over 50's in the UK will be called for a Covid and Flu booster jab. Not quite sure whether I feel relieved or fed up that we will never be free of the 'rona.
Having said that, having had Covid over the recent Platy Joobs (Her Majesty the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, you purists LOL), I'm fairly happy it wasn't too severe, although the tiredness has lingered.

Brisbane Pub Choir
An incredible version of Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God). Even more impressive is that Kate Bush got in touch to express how much she enjoyed it!
