Marathon Man

Even after all these years I still think about Marathon bars, not Snickers LOL. Nice to see these back in the shops even if for a limited period.

In addition I could not help but be tempted by this offering from budget store Poundland, which quite possibly owes a little inspiration to a well known triangular confectionery...

Just look what arrived in the post today, from an international food importer! A delicacy- you might say- I discovered a few years ago on a visit to the land Downunder. Quite why these were never really launched in other countries is beyond me.

Apparently these are best consumed before May 2020. Don't think they are going to last that long, do you LOL?

Chilterns

It's sometimes necessary to remind myself that just a 15 minute drive from Reading is the start of the beautiful Chiltern Downs. What better place to get away from it all with mans' (or in deed womans') best friend?

New Month, New Home

New home at least for my passion flower, which has been in a pot since it started life as a cutting. As I think has been previously mentioned, raised beds are the way forward so I have picked a nice sunny corner of the garden, with a great view from the house.
