Received the below communication from those lovely folk at The Sun newspaper. Basically to get a free £5 note, I need to register 28 unique codes printed in the daily newspaper. I don't know for sure- I'm not a regular (physical) newspaper reader- but let's assume each copy costs 50p, I'd need to spend £14 (US $18, AU $23) just to get back £5. Is there something I missed..?

90+
The UK is currently basking in glorious sunshine, with relatively high temperatures. Yesterday the highest measurement, in the shade, was recorded at Hampton Court Palace of 32.5 degrees Celsius (around 90.5 degrees Fahrenheit).
We've been told to expect June to remain hot, July somewhat cooler and higher temperatures returning for the school holidays in August. Thanks Jet Stream LOL.
In my part of the country things are really quite nice, as evidenced below from my trusty BBC Weather App.

View From A Bridge
Driving home this evening, I had to pull over at Winnersh Triangle to take this picture of the absolutely awesome sunset. Doesn't quite fully do it justice but I hope you get the idea.
Used to work near here dontchaknow. Many years ago.

Vote Now
Another trip to the polling station, so soon? After a relatively short period of campaigning, only seven weeks, the UK general election is finally here. At long last the "experts" with all their predictions will either be proved spot on or have to eat their words. By Friday morning we should know who will form our next government and therefore the likely approach the country will take in the Brexit negotiations.

One Man And His Dog
The actor Peter Sallis, voice of plasticine hero Wallace, has died. May you forever enjoy grand days out.
