Incinerator

When you have the urge* to burn things, nothing else will do. Obviously not on my wood decking or too near other combustibles LOL.

Flash

Taken in my front garden this morning, the first with the flash on (for some reason) and the second without, showing the true colour. Quite amazing the difference don't you think?

Busted

Not the cringe (is there any other sort?) British boy band from years back LOL.

This belt from my mower snapped yesterday and it was only at this point I realised it had worn down to half its original height. More to the point you don't necessarily notice the degree overall performance has deteriorated until the new part has been fitted. Special mention to a certain online retailer delivering the replacement part in under 12 hours and at a very reasonable price. I really wasn't in the mood for buying a new Flymo*.

* other lawn mower types are available LOL.

Pie

As the saying goes, "As American as apple pie." Although apparently it was an imported recipe from the Old Country. Still tasty though, regardless of origin, particularly with custard.

Beach Huts

This photo came up today, from my storage, as a memory of two years ago. A happy few days spent in West Sussex chilling out, playing tourist and over indulging. I'm quite pleased with this image, even if I say so myself LOL.

Trim

I don't know about everyone else but I do appreciate a nicely trimmed bush.

Ber

We've officially entered the Ber months, ones all ending in those particular three letters. In the UK and Europe it's the first day of Meteorological Autumn. Although given how nondescript Summer has been I'm hoping for a bit of decent weather before the days really do become noticeably shorter.

According to the children's rhyme, "Rain, rain go away. Come again another day."

You can tell it's the August Bank Holiday weekend, and also time for the world renowned Reading Festival, because it is absolutely bucketing down with rain. After all these years I probably should know this is to be expected. Guess there's nothing for it but to enjoy a tasty curry LOL.
