Sometimes you just can't keep away LOL. Here's an image of a beautiful country church too, worth a visit.

Beach Huts
This photo came up today, from my storage, as a memory of two years ago. A happy few days spent in West Sussex chilling out, playing tourist and over indulging. I'm quite pleased with this image, even if I say so myself LOL.

Quackers
Today marks the 90th anniversary of the first appearance of my absolute favourite Disney character, Donald Duck. Ever so naughty and just a little unlucky in his many (mis)adventures, I've loved him since I was very young. As this ancient picture below confirms LOL.
Happy birthday Donald.

Jackson's
This image came up this morning from 10 years ago, shortly after this landmark store closed for the final time. Everybody in Reading knew of Jackson's, far fewer I suspect shopped there. Most school children were dragged there during summer holidays to purchase their uniform for the new academic year. These days parents don't need to visit the appointed retailer in any given town but it was certainly the case until the 1990's if not later.
Entering it really was like stepping back in time. Dark wood panelled walls, with clothing displayed on equally dark shelving. Even the pneumatic tube system was still working on closing day, carrying the takings from the shop floor to Accounts and returning with a customer receipt and change.
The iconic frontage, with Jackson's sign remains, behind is or will be apartments. Handy for the town centre but also fast rail links to London.

When The Circus Comes To Town
To be precise, The Circus of Horrors.
Great night out in Reading but definitely not for kids or those of a nervous disposition LOL.

Super And Blue
A blue moon and a super moon in one night. It's said to be blue because it is the second new moon in a calendar month and super because it is at its closest to planet Earth.
Super blue moon or blue super moon. You decide LOL.

Blue And White
Looks like my white Agapanthus is to flower for the first time, it's taken nearly three years. About time too. Here's an image of the beautiful plant, together with my blue counterpart.

Gaia
Took a trip today with ym, into Reading, to the town council concert hall. For the past few days Reading has been host to the touring installation Luke Gerram's Gaia. This huge suspended globe uses NASA images to depict the beauty of our planet. A trully stunning sight and is highly recommended. We followed this with a trip to Las Iguanas Mexican themed restaurant. Just as good as previous visits.

Mini Golf
This rather lovely pic came up in my cloud memories, from a couple of years ago. You know when we were all allowed to travel overseas LOL.
This mini golf course was constructed on the 5th floor of the hotel. Awesome fun!

Holy Pilgrimage
However tucked away on the side of the road, in what is now the leafy suburb of Caversham, is St Anne's Well. To be precise on the junction of Priest Hill and St Anne's Road. Something of a curiosity, those exact history is not clear. Anyway, enjoy these images from a recent visit.
