Service

We said goodbye to dad today. The sun looked down on us, smiled and made sure we all baked in our finest funeral attire. A lot of money has been generously donated in favour of Alzheimer's Society, in tribute to him. Badly needed money can be put to good use by this charity to care for those affected and also to research better treatments. Thank you.

Perth Silver

Look what I've got my sticky mitts on LOL!

To celebrate the 65th anniversary of the coronation of Australia's* queen, the Perth Mint has produced this beautiful limited edition legal tender AU$1 coin. Restricted to a maximum mintage of only 5000 worldwide and made of 1 Troy oz, with a purity of 99.99%, it truely is amazing. Even the presentation box with wooden lid is a thing of beauty.

Feast your eyes...

* OK so Her Majesty is also queen of the UK and a whole host of other countries as well LOL.

Urgent

Visited dad in Poole hospital yesterday. He seemed frail after his operation but not doing too badly.

Wasn't expecting to be urgently called back down this evening. Things are not so good. Will be spending the night with him.

Blink

...And you may miss it. At least that's how it feels regarding my white peony. One moment it was just about to flower and next it seems some unwelcome rain had done its worst to the delicate display. Ah well, maybe next time...

Elsewhere the fabulous daisies and comfrey seem to be enjoying the season, as shown below.

Is It..?

Is it me or are things starting to get a bit warm around here..?
